Learn futsal fundamentals from the pro’s

Learn about the CONCACAF and FIFA approved indoor game of Futsal from Canada’s professional futsal coach Roy Blanche.

The aim of this course is to provide candidates the opportunity to learn and understand the tactic, techniques and skill behind the game. The course will help candidates organize and deliver basic futsal practices, gain insight of the FIFA Laws of the Game, the role futsal has in the development of players by utilizing underlying skills and techniques, the basic principle of attack and defense, and the role of the goalkeeper.

Futsal is a sport on its own and has been played officially and unofficially in Canada for years; however, coaching courses are limited. The workshop has been established due to a demand from local community coaches and club staff members who have reached out to Futsal Club Toronto for support and guidance on how to coach the indoor game that is growing rapidly in the GTA. This workshop provides insight into the game and its structure; along with history behind the Canadian Futsal game so far.

If you are a coach, manager and/or player interested in learning the game of futsal or increasing your knowledge this is a great opportunity to learn from a prominent Canadian futsal figure, Roy Blanche, who has represented Canada at the International level and has coached and played futsal abroad.

Candidates will participate in a theoretical and hands on court session. Candidates can then take in an official Peel Halton Futsal League match; which is scheduled in the evening at Canlan Sportplex.
