Canadian Men’s National Futsal Club Champions, Futsal Club Toronto, preserved their winning streak over the weekend where they were victorious against their brothers and hosts FCTII in a tough match which finished 5-4 in the Peel Halton Soccer Association Premier Futsal League.
“We are excited here to start a new season and a new campaign with the club. The players have enjoyed a 5 week break from a gruelling 15 months of training which attributed to their success in gaining the title of Premier Futsal League Champions, OSA Provincial Futsal Cup Champions and Canadian National Futsal Club Champions. The team fought against a resilient FCTII which has a very experience player pool; a combination of Canadian National Futsal Team players, players with international futsal experience and younger players from the youth system. This is a team that challenged us from the start to the end of the match and were offensively and defensively strong. I believe we all look forward to seeing both teams grow throughout the season”.-comments Head Coach Roy Blanche.
Following the match The Ontario Soccer Association President Ron Smale; accompanied by Peel Halton Soccer Association President William Hay, presented the club with their 2015 OSA Provincial Futsal medals in a ceremonial fashion. In attendance, were present club athletes and families who had the opportunity to catch the game and attend the holiday party hosted by Canlan Sportsplex.
December 19th FCTII will be home to Mississauga City FC one of several new teams which has joined the league for the 2015/2016 league season.Gallery with ID 35 doesn't exist.
