Canadian Championships kicks of April 21 in its third edition

April 21-23rd marks the commencement of the 3rd edition of the Canadian National Futsal Championships being held at Queens University in Kingston, ON. FC Toronto have booked their ticket to the Nationals after upsetting Toronto United Futsal Club in the 2017 Ontario Provincial Futsal Cup earlier in the month. FC Toronto are no strangers to the Canadian National Competition after clenching the inaugural title in 2015 after defeating Albiceleste of Quebec in Montreal.

The team will most likely be competing with the absence of Technical Director Roy Blanche whom is in Kuwait on contract with Al-Arabi SC until June 2017. Roy Blanche will be faced with the Kuwait FA League Cup the same weekend. Kuwait City is also home to FC Toronto Pivot Matthew Rios who has joined the green giants in February 2017 for the remainder of the season; both will be supporting the lads from the gulf via live stream.
