The FCT and UNIK SPORTS affiliation allows FCT coaches to identify and recommend players to UNIK SPORTS for scouting and assessment.  UNIK SPORTS scouts and management periodically join FCT locally to scout and assess players in the player’s current team environment. 

Selected players have the opportunity to travel to European clubs, which in the past have included elite organizations, such as Sporting CP, Porto and Benfica in Portugal.  Players usually train with the European Academy for a two-week assessment period, two times a year.  

This arrangement places direct eyes on FCT players at a young age. With these connections, hard work and dedication, FC Toronto players can find themselves on a pathway to a professional contract.
