THE HP PROGRAM

FC Toronto’s unique High Performance (HP) Program combines academic education and futsal/soccer training in an all-day school program

Collaborating with the Toronto District School Board (with additional options in the Region of Peel District School Board), student-athletes participate in a full-day program where they attend school for half a day, and then train with FC Toronto the other half.

The academic education component is based on the Ontario Curriculum, and is comprehensive and intense.  It’s a complete full-time school program, but condensed into half days.  Through the accommodated half school day, the program is designed to support high-level amateur athletes and facilitate their training needs by promoting balance within their academic and athletic commitments.

With a seamless methodology that cultivates academic growth, athletic improvement, character development and social responsibility, the program prepares student-athletes for life both in and out of sport.

THE HP OBJECTIVES AND MISSION

COMPETITION

To create a competitive atmosphere where athletes can showcase their talents and strive for excellence, while continuing to grow and develop both as athletes and individuals.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

To develop players to their maximum potential and skill set, ensuring the player never loses their love and passion for the game.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

To create a “real world” type of experience where student athletes act and conduct themselves like professional athletes. These experiences are learned through sport and can be applied to gain mutual respect and humility.
