ANTHONY MALCOLM
GRASSROOTS COORDINATOR & COACH
Anthony Malcolm is a Canadian soccer coach who’s currently overseeing the FC Toronto 2012 and 2013 Rep Teams. He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and played with a number of clubs in the GTA, including Rexdale, Brampton, Chinguacousy and Mississauga at the Rep level in Peel, NSL and other leagues within the Toronto area.
As a basketball player, Anthony was ranked fifth in Ontario for point guards coming out of high school. He joined the Laurentian Voyageurs Men’s Basketball program, where he won the Ontario’s Cup and made two appearances at the Canadian Nationals as the #1 ranked team in the country.
Anthony enjoys coaching young people at the grassroots level, where he feels his knowledge, passion and guidance helps build and foster positive relationships and experiences through soccer. He has a professional background of over 20 years in children’s mental health. This knowledge helps support and develop positive self-images for players, while encouraging them to challenge “risk” in safe and predictable practices. Healthy player and personal development are Anthony’s primary focus.
