SARAH CHAMALÉ

GIRLS PROGRAM COACH

Sarah Chamalé grew up playing soccer in Toronto’s Spanish Futsal leagues, playing on boys teams and competing against top-level talents, including Richie Laryea and Kwame Awuah. She also has international experience, competing for Canada's National Futsal and Beach Soccer teams.

Sarah’s soccer journey took her through many levels of competition. She had the privilege of playing down south at Eastern Florida College. At the time, it was the #1 ranked JUCO in the nation and the team remained conference champions while she studied there. Sarah then moved on to play at the NAIA level at Dalton State College in Georgia.

Throughout her career, Sarah had the opportunity to play with and against some incredible talents and staples of women’s soccer, including Bunny Shaw (Manchester City), Sonia O'Neill, Brooke McCalla and Ashley Lawrence. These experiences have shaped Sarah’s understanding of the game and what it takes to compete at the highest levels.

Following her college soccer career, Sarah began coaching and training players at all levels. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarah started organizing private sessions for individuals and groups, focusing on player development and technical skill-building. Her coaching experiences have helped her develop a well-rounded approach to working with players, individually and in a team setting.

At Technikz Training in Killeen, TX, Sarah worked with players ranging from five-years old to adults, tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs of each age group. At Tri County Soccer Club in Harker Heights, TX, she was a trainer for the U19 (2006/2007) and U13 (2012) boys teams. She’s also gained experience assisting with Burlington Soccer Club, which further strengthened her ability to connect with players at various levels and ages.

Whether it’s striving to play at the OCAA, NCAA level or even at European clubs, the opportunities are greater than ever for female footballers. Changes in visa rules are opening new pathways for players wanting to play abroad. It's an exciting time for girls’ soccer and Sarah’s thrilled to be a part of this thriving community.

As a FC Toronto coach, Sarah is committed to helping the girls not only grow as players, but also as individuals. Her goal is to inspire confidence, self-motivation and resilience in every player, both on and off the field. Sarah wants to help the FCT girls tap into their passion for soccer and see where it can lead their futures.
